Digital X-rays
Digital x-rays are faster than conventional x-rays, and they are comfortable for you. They also aid us to accurately diagnose your oral health needs. All with up to 90% less radiation. We employ digital imaging, as well, to show you how fabulous your new and improved smile could look, before treatment even begins. With no chemical processing needed, digital technology helps us do our part to keep the environment safe, too.
Intraoral Camera
Using this camera, we can give you a “tour” of your mouth on a TV screen (which is really cool). We also use the camera to guide you through your diagnosis and treatment options. This is helpful in keeping our patients at the center of their treatment plans. We want you to feel informed at every step of the way, so you can make smart choices for your oral health and smile.
Tooth-Colored Fillings
Composite fillings can be adhesively held in place or “bonded.” Because they can be bonded to teeth, composite fillings allow for more conservative preparations where less healthy tooth structure is removed. This often results in smaller fillings than that of amalgam (silver filings), and they are more natural looking. The tooth-colored material is cured with a special light and the surface is shaped and polished to match the tooth, rendering the final restoration virtually undetectable to the eye and very natural feeling.
Snap-On Smile®
Snap-On Smile® is an inexpensive alternative to permanent cosmetic dental treatments, such as porcelain veneers. Snap-On Smile’s tagline is “A Patented Multi-Purpose Restorative Appliance™,” and its patent was given in recognition of its benefit of attaching to teeth – literally snapping on – without the need for drilling or adhesives, or any invasive preparation or procedures at all. Snap-On Smile appliances are made of a special resin, which is strong yet flexible, resistant to stain, and it polishes well for a sleek and attractive finish. This material is formed into thin, removable smile appliances that come in 18 different smile designs and in 23 color shades. There is a Smile Style Guide to help patients choose the design and shade of teeth that will maximize the potential of their individual smiles. The design and shade chosen by you and your dentist is customized to fit your mouth, using upper and lower impressions of your mouth.
Dental Implants
Many people who are missing teeth struggle with ill-fitting, uncomfortable dentures or retainers with false teeth. Some even avoid social settings so they won’t have to wear their dentures. If you know what this feels like and are ready for a solution, Dr. Flores has one for you! Dental implants are resolving both the practical and social problems associated with dentures. They are effective in stabilizing dentures to fit better, feel better, look better, and smell better (because they prevent food from getting trapped underneath).
